Bass Oil’s low cost wireline program at the Padulla and Worrior Oil Fields in South Australia has yielded a 30 per cent increase in oil production.
As part of Bass’s production optimisation program, the company mobilised a wireline unit to the Worrior and Padulla fields late in November.
The rig performed a series of low-cost zone changes and pump refurbishments.
The resulting 30 percent increase due to this activity has been confirmed, with production jumping from 80 bopd to 105 bopd.
Bass Oil‘s Managing Director Tino Guglielmo said that the company was very pleased with the result.
“The program has resulted in a 30 per cent increase in production over recent levels and a 62% increase in production since Bass took over the asset in August. This, along with the recently announced prospective resource in the deep coals in PEL 182 is capping off a very good year for Bass,” he said.
In January 2023, Bass Oil will commence a workover program at the Worrior 8 and Worrior 11.
The McKinlay zone, where the two wells are located, has been assessed as capable of producing 200-300 bopd of initial production.
