Bass Oil continues to persevere in the Cooper Basin after recording a 4 per cent decrease in oil production from the area.
Total field production from Bass’ 100 per cent owned Worrior and Padulla oilfields was 2857 barrels of oil, with 2799 of those barrels sold.
The company stated that the recent intervention activities highlighted several opportunities for production improvement.
Bass said that these will be explored and implemented over the course of the next year in the hopes of increasing production.
The company has continued operations for the workover of the Worrior 11 well, which aim to convert the well so as to produce oil from the previously identified McKinlay zone.
The workover, originally scheduled for mid-February, has been delayed until March due to weather in the area impairing equipment mobilisation.
Once done, Bass said that the well should add a further 200 barrels of oil per day to production.
