Clough has acquired US LNG engineering firm CH-IV International.
The Australian engineering and consultancy firm acquired the US LNG focused company for $55 million, according to The West.
Clough has reportedly been on the lookout for bolt-on acquisitions since mid-last year.
CH-IV has expertise in LNG import and export terminals, having worked on a number around the world, while Clough has been present on every major LNG project carried out in Australia and PNG in the last few years.
Clough stated this new acquisition provides it with entry in to the US market, and allows it to expand its LNG expertise.
"The acquisition aligns with Clough's strategy to build a globally competitive business and expand our global footprint and services to our oil & gas clients," Clough MD Kevin Gallagher said.
Jeff Beale, CH-IV’s president said the "union combines complementary LNG skills and resources that will significantly enhance our service offering for LNG clients. CH-IV now has the required support to offer our niche LNG engineering and consulting services to previously untapped markets, both locally and globally”.
