Construction and electrical crews have remobilised to site to complete State Gas’ CNG facility works.
Mechanical completion of the facility is expected to occur shortly once key components of the plant are installed.
All power and lighting cables have been installed and remaining instrumentation cables will be completed shortly, as all gas, water and pneumatic lines are tested.
State Gas also noted that a formal commissioning plan has been developed and pre-commissioning activities are expected to commence next week.
Despite rain over the past few weeks, the company is confident that mechanical completion and plant commissioning can proceed.
It also means that post commissioning, State Gas will be able to maintain continuous truck access to the facility.
The company also expects to commence initial gas sales through its virtual pipeline, and is currently working with its offtake partner to finalise details of that supply arrangement to commence in late January.
