The Cooper Basin has had an increase production in December following Bass Oil’s completion of a wireline program.
The production of oil from Bass’s 100 per cent owned oil fields in the Cooper basin, Worrior and Padulla, increased an average of 96 barrels of oil per day (bopd).
This volume equates to a 30 per cent increase over November’s production levels.
In total, the fields produced 2967 barrels of oil for the month of December, 53 per cent – or 1589 barrels of which were sold.
The wireline program was part of a larger intervention project targeting the downhole jet pumps.
Throughout the program, Bass identified a series of improvement opportunities.
Workover works at the Worrior 11 well, scheduled for late January to early February, is expected to increase production further by 200 bopd, depending on rig availability.
