Cooper Basin: Vali to give first gas this month

Vintage Vali-2 production

Cooper Basin gas operations for licences ATP 2021 and PRL211 are looking to start 2023 strong with first gas from the Vali gas field scheduled for delivery in January.

Vali siteworks are proceeding as planned, with flowlines and the export pipeline for the project installed and pressure tested.

Welding at the site is well advanced, with lease foundations in place at wells Vali-1 and Vali-2 and on-site skids and pipework largely assembled.

Installation of metering skid equipment is underway, with installation and welding expected this month.

Also in the Cooper Basin, materials required to connect the Odin gas field to the Vali-Beckler export pipeline have been sourced, and regulatory submissions required for the flowline installation have been lodged.

Once approved, trenching and installation can occur along the surveyed route.

ATP 2021 and PRL211 are owned and operated by a joint venture between Metgasco (25 per cent), Vintage Energy (50 per cent) and Bridgeport (25 per cent) acting as operator for both gas field projects.
