Since arriving on site, the rig successfully completed the ready to operate process, drilled the 36 inch (914.4 mm) conductor hole, finished running and cementing the 30 inch (762 mm) surface casing and is preparing to drill the 17 ½ inch (444.5 mm) section.
The rig will drill the 17 ½ inch hole to the planned section depth of approximately 1,175 m Measured Depth (MD), followed by setting the 13 ⅜ inch (339.725 mm) casing.
The well is anticipated to take approximately 35 days to reach its primary target and around 60 days to be complete.
The primary objective of Dorado-1 is to assess the gas and liquids potential in the Caley Member, which is estimated to contain a gross mean recoverable prospective resource of 545 Bcf of gas and 30 MMbbl of associated condensate.
Multiple secondary targets have been identified in the Crispin and Milne members, which will also be assessed by the Dorado-1 well.
Dorado-1 is less than 20 km from an updip of the successful Roc-1 and Roc-2 wells, with the latter’s well test achieving around 55 MMcf/d of gas and 3,000 bbl/d of associated condensate.
