Renewable energy retailer Flow Power has acquired the proposed Dunedoo Energy Project in regional New South Wales.
Dunedoo holds development approval as a State Significant Development with an approved Development Application. The project, previously owned by ib vogt GmbH, is located approximately 2km north of Dunedoo in the Warrumbungle Shire. The project consists of a 55MW solar farm and 60MW BESS.
Flow Power will develop, build, own and operate the facility, with construction scheduled to begin in 2026.
Once complete, the project will include around 175,000 solar panels across approximately 92 hectares, generating enough renewable electricity to power up to 20,000 homes and businesses. The facility will connect to Essential Energy’s Dunedoo Substation through a new 66kV transmission line, supported by planned substation upgrades.
The integrated battery system will store excess solar energy generated during the day and release it when renewable supply is low or demand is high. This is expected to improve reliability, increase renewable energy supply and place downward pressure on electricity prices while supporting the transition to a cleaner energy grid.
