A two-day event taking place next week promises globally-significant talks on the future of hydrogen, renewables and supporting infrastructure and technology in Australia.
The inaugural Innovative Industries of the Future Conference 2024 (IIF24), hosted by the South West Development Commission will take place in Bunbury, Western Australia in the coming days.
Government leaders, international delegates, investors, entrepreneurs, and academia, are all expected to converge at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre for the event, taking place on November 5 and 6.
IIF24 will deep dive into key themes including advanced manufacturing, advanced technologies and renewables, while also focusing on vital sub-themes such as skills development, workforce advancement, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
The conference will feature an important discussion on the future of hydrogen and renewables, including the skills and infrastructure requirements that will be required to support export and supply chain opportunities in these rapidly emerging sectors.
The stellar line up of Western Australian industry leaders speaking on these topics at the IIF conference include Erich Hofmann, Managing Director of Hofmann Engineering; Peter Ricciardello, Executive Group Manager of Civmec Construction Engineering; Andrew McCluskey, Executive General Manager – Hydrogen for Siemens; Keith Wilks, CEO of the Southern Ports Authority and Brad Geatches, Deputy Chair of Pilbara Ports.
The event will also hear from Maria Rennie, UK Consul General Western Australia, who will be launching the UK Government’s ‘Australian Hydrogen Market Study – Supply Chain Readiness Assessment’ at the IIF conference.
