Qatar still leading the way

Presently, Qatar accounts for 20.3 per cent of the total global LNG liquefaction capacity.

The country has eight active LNG liquefaction terminals.

Currently there are no planned and announced projects that would start operations during 2018 to 2021.

Australia has 19.7 per cent share in the global LNG liquefaction capacity in 2018, and has nine active LNG liquefaction terminals.

Australia would add a capacity of 16 MMt/a from three planned and announced terminals through 2018 to 2021.
