Bass Oil has recorded an increase in its revenue for May 2024, due to its success in the Cooper Basin.
Total sales revenue for May was $837,508, a 59 per cent increase from April numbers. This was mainly due to an increase in production, which saw Bass Oil total 7778 barrels across the month.
The positive production numbers were a result of increased deliveries in the Cooper Basin, once the roads reopened after rain delays in April.
Total field production from the company’s 100 per cent owned Worrior and Padulla oilfields was 3070 barrels. Daily production was steady, averaging 99 barrels of oil per day (bopd) while oil sales totalled 3258 for the month.
At Kiwi 1, the company announced that earthworks on the access road had commenced. While it has briefly paused due to heavy rainfall in early June, it is expected to resume by the end of the month.
This will allow the mobilisation of a rig to the well to carry out the extended production test.
Within PEL 182, Bass Oil has confirmed global technology company SLB began initial work on the deep coal commercialisation study, with results expected in July 2024.
