Shell looks to secure gas deals

The AFR says Shell is looking to get on the front foot before proposed LNG import projects – AGL’s Crib Point facility and Australian Industrial Energy’s NSW LNG import project – can snap up the lion’s share of industrial customers.

“Our team in Shell Energy Australia is reaching out to all wholesale, commercial and industrial (C&I) customers across the east coast to understand what demand exists and how we can meet it beyond just this year out to the middle of next decade,”? said Shell Australia Chair Zoe Yujnovich.

“We welcome responses from all wholesale and C&I buyers and will work hard to meet demand.”?

Shell’s expressions of interest on gas supplies is between 1 January 2019 and 1 January 2025, with Shell expected to assess the bids before making a list of potential customers to engage in discussions with by mid-May.
