Strike achieves West Erregulla milestone

West Erregulla

Strike Energy has achieved a significant milestone in the development of the West Erregulla gas field.

As the operator of the EP469 Joint Venture, Strike Energy received Ministerial Statements under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (WA) for both upstream and midstream infrastructure.

The EP469 Joint Venture obtained approval for the upstream infrastructure related to the West Erregulla gas field.

AGI Operations Pty Limited (a subsidiary of Australian Gas Infrastructure Group) received approval for the midstream infrastructure, including the West Erregulla Processing Plant and Pipeline.

This marks the culmination of a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, involving technical evaluation and stakeholder consultation over three years.

With the EP Act Part IV approval granted, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment, and Water (DCCEEW) will issue draft conditions for review under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act 1999 (Cth) (EPBC).

Strike Energy anticipates receiving EPBC approval within the current quarter.

The EP469 Joint Venture, in collaboration with AGIG, will now focus on reaching a final investment decision (FID).
