The role of decommissioning in the energy transition

Offshore acreage

As the oil and gas industry in Australia heads towards its net-zero goal, decommissioning has been identified to play a key role in the energy transition.

Decommissioning is a normal activity in the offshore petroleum lifecycle. Its purpose is to remove or otherwise satisfactorily deal with, in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, structures, equipment and property previously used to support activities in the offshore area.

Energy Today will shine a spotlight on the moving parts that helps decommissioning possible – from the challenges and opportunities of decommissioning to the steps required.

The offer includes:

  • 3 x months high impact branding via bi-weekly e-news banner: September to November 2024 (advert to be supplied)
  • 1 x editorial, written by industry journalist as part of our feature coverage on Decommissioning
  • 3 x months PR coverage (content supplied) to appear on Energy Today e-news, website & social media channels

Expressions of interest will close on 15 August. To secure your place, or for more information, please click the button below.
