The storage and measurement of liquid gas in spherical tanks can be a potentially hazardous element of petroleum processing, and oil refineries have become increasingly strict regarding requirements for measuring sensors, which are generally mounted on ball valves.
VEGA’s VEGAPULS 64 sensor relies on specific techniques to vastly reduce noise levels associated with ball valves, resulting in much better signal focusing for liquid gas measurement. The sensor uses an 80GHz frequency and can be installed on existing shut-off devices, reducing or eliminating modification and retrofitting costs for the end user.
