Commissioning for the Vali gas fields in Queensland has been pushed back to January 2023, according to operator Vintage Energy.
The ATP 2021 joint venture (JV) consists of Metgasco (25 per cent), Bridgeport (25 per cent) and Vintage Energy as operator and 50 per cent stakeholder.
Pipeline installation work was disrupted by recent weather events that resulted in rework and limited site access.
Commissioning was originally expected to commence in December 2022, with first gas to flow that same month.
Work is now scheduled to resume on 4 January 2023.
Trenching work is almost completed on the Vali-Beckler pipeline, and installation of the Fiberspar pipeline commenced on 18 November.
The work period leading up to 21 December 2022 will be focussed on installation and and testing of flowlines and the construction of key infrastructure.
The JV is aiming to have operations at the Vali gas field resume as quickly as possible once work resumes in January 2023.
