WOMA Australia, a wholly owned Australian company will be showcasing a range of innovative solutions at AUSJET 2024, taking place on October 23–24 at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

Organised by the Australasian High-Pressure Water Jetting Association (AUSJET) and the Australasian Drain Cleaning and Vacuum Association (ADCVA), this event will highlight the latest advancements in Water Jetting, Drain Cleaning, Hydro Excavation, Industrial Vacuum loading and associated technologies.

WOMA is a leading provider of high-pressure water jetting and industrial cleaning solutions. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, WOMA integrates various advanced technologies – applying positive displacement and other pumping systems for high-pressure, steam, vacuum, pneumatic, hydraulic and robotic automation – enhancing safety and productivity efficiencies across multiple industries.

Key Areas of Expertise:

  • High-pressure water technology since 1962: The power of water has been used by people since ancient times. Water power drove mills and lifted loads. Water power is an important regenerative source of energy. But water can do much, much more. The revolutionary idea of using the mechanical effects of flowing water for cleaning at enormous pressures was the start for WOMA in 1962. And this idea has been the driving force behind the entire company. The company uses water as a tool for a range of industrial applications, from process pumping to drain cleaning and from cleaning surfaces to cutting materials.
  • Explosion protection: The risk of fire and explosion exists in mining, refining, manufacturing and oil and gas operations throughout the value stream. The science of explosions is well understood and is the same all around the world. In these challenging times it is critical that we don’t waste these precious resources. WOMA, working with specialist suppliers like Pyroban, provides a range of explosion protection products and services to help manage the risk and remove the sources of ignition found in diesel engines and mobile equipment in offshore oil and gas installations and onshore refineries and petrochemical plants.
  • Industrial maintenance robotic automation: WOMA specialises in the design, engineering, manufacture, sale, service, rental and training of robotic automation and remote-control equipment for demanding industrial maintenance environments. With over 30 years of experience in alumina, nickel, iron ore, gold, oil and gas and related petro-chemical fields, WOMA offers leading global solutions coupled with local ingenuity. WOMA’s automated solutions generally apply vacuum and high & ultra-high-pressure water jetting technologies for surface treatment, descaling, decontamination, extraction and encapsulation for inspection, refurbishment and treatment.

At AUSJET 2024, WOMA will present a variety of advanced technologies that reflect our commitment to innovation in the field. One of our standout products is the WOMA® Turbo Nozzle Compact TD-C, which operates at pressures ranging from 500 BAR to 3000 BAR. Its lightweight and compact design make it ideal for confined spaces, allowing operators to tackle challenging cleaning tasks effectively. Key features of the TD-C include:

  • Three-stage speed control for customisable performance, enabling users to adjust pressure and flow rate application according to specific cleaning requirements
  • Hydraulic self-drive technology that enhances manoeuvrability and efficiency in demanding environments
  • Quick maintenance that requires no special tools, ensuring minimal downtime.

Additionally, WOMA will be showcase the WOMA JOX E Robot, designed for versatility in harsh hazardous and confined spaces. This hydraulically driven robot features:

  • A telescopic arm that allows it to reach difficult or elevated surfaces and handle materials with precision, for example under-conveyor cleaning
  • A clamshell bucket operated by a hydraulic cylinder for efficient material capture and release in tight areas
  • A battery electric-powered hydraulic system that ensures smooth operation without cumbersome cables, ideal for remote tasks.
Enabled for multiple, modular accessory fitment, the standard unit is furnished with cameras and lights that enhance the WOMA JOX E Robot’s visibility in dark or confined environments, improving safety and operational effectiveness. Image: WOMA Australia

During AUSJET 2024, attendees will have the opportunity to see these technologies in action through live demonstrations scheduled for Wednesday, October 23 at 3:05 PM and Thursday, October 24 at 11:40 AM. These sessions will illustrate the practical applications of WOMA’s solutions and showcase how they can significantly improve safety and productivity in industrial operations.

AUSJET 2024 also offers valuable networking opportunities, allowing industry professionals to connect and discuss the latest trends and challenges in water jetting and industrial cleaning.

WOMA Australia looks forward to engaging with professionals at AUSJET 2024, sharing insights, and demonstrating our commitment to advancing water jetting technologies. Join us in exploring the future of industrial cleaning – see you there.
