Woodside Energy has awarded all major contracts for the decommissioning of subsea infrastructure at the Enfield, Griffin, Stybarrow and Echo Yodel offshore Western Australian oil and gas fields.
Following finalisation of these contracts, the decommissioning campaign can commence in the fourth quarter of 2023, subject to regulatory approvals.
The campaign will specifically include the decommissioning of Nganhurra Riser Turret Mooring (RTM) on the Enfield field, the Griffin RTM and the Stybarrow Disconnectable Turret Mooring.
Woodside vice president projects Australia Michal Abdullah said the company is partnering with a range of providers to ensure successful execution of the campaign.
“We are progressing well with our planning and remain on track to meet the regulatory requirements to complete the campaign,” Abdullah said.
“Woodside is continuing to undertake extensive stakeholder consultation to inform the development of environment plans for the campaign.
“These plans are either being updated to reflect stakeholder feedback or have been lodged with the regulator, NOPSEMA, for assessment.”
The contracts have been awarded to a range of experienced providers including TechnipFMC, Heerema, McDermott, Fugro, DOF and McMahon.
A contract for the permanent plug and abandonment of wells in the Stybarrow filed has also been awarded to Transocean.
